Position Summary:

The Process Improvement Specialist will support the needs of corporate, functional, and project teams, with a focus on creative content development, layout, design. Duties require a high degree of accuracy and initiative, as well as understanding of training and video production, material layout and design, and the development of a variety of print communications and multimedia products, including photo, video, and interactive materials. 


 Essential Job Duties:


Conceives, plans, develops, and coordinates process improvement activities including, but not limited to:

  • Online and instructor-led training materials
  • Design for functional marketing and communication tools and resources
  • Third-party vendors to provide process improvement tools where applicable such as course design, translation services, subscription services and other departmental      supported outside resources
  • Departmental and/or corporate-wide correspondence, alerts and bulletins
  • Develops and implements learning, training and marketing materials for corporate, function, or project use (e.g., brochures, posters, videos, campaign materials, etc.).
  • Supports projects with specialized training, program, or material requests and customize products to meet the needs of the project or audience.
  • Supports Senior Process Improvement Specialist on corporate development needs, such as employee skills requirements matrices and training initiatives.
  • Owns and updates content as needed, including presentations, infographics, web content, etc.
  • Receives supervision and technical guidance from the Senior Process Improvement Specialist.


Qualifications and Skills:

Basic Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Visual Communication Design, Communications, Marketing Graphic Design, or relevant field. In lieu of a degree, 4 years of experience including, but not limited, to recent practical work in the Communications or Design field. Will need to provide a professional portfolio or examples of past products (e.g., brochures, signs, magazines, posters, videos, etc.).
  • Must have content layout expertise, an eye for design, and an ability to translate core ES&H concepts into compelling visuals
  • Excellent communication skills – visual, written and verbal
  • High-level of personal organization and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proactive with an ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve
  • Technical proficiency of computer-based training development and web-based software and development.
  • Technical proficiency of Adobe Suite desktop publishing software.
  • Technical proficiency of video production software, such as Camtasia or Adobe Affects.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
