Network Information Security Analyst

The Bechtel Information Security and Compliance team is seeking a well-rounded Information Systems Network Security Analyst that has demonstrated knowledge and experience with both on-prem and cloud networking technologies. Applicants should have a thorough understanding of networking information security risks as it relates to the business, viewing security holistically, applying risk management intelligently, using creative problem solving techniques, and the ability to work successfully with others.

 

Duties will include the following:

  • Lead and/or assist in the development and design of architecture, policies, standards, procedures, training, and documentation of network security solutions including Data Loss Prevention, firewalls, routers, and logging and analysis tools
  • Define situations in terms of the security risks and is educate peers and management so they can make informed business decisions based on a risk management methodology
  • Lead the security reviews and provide approval for changes to network, infrastructure and connectivity solutions through the Change Management process; Work to improve and streamline the change management process
  • Provide security subject matter expertise and consultation to customers and business leaders on network security solutions including architecture, design, documentation and policies
  • Review cloud, on-prem and hybrid security architectures and developing innovative design strategies geared toward maximizing the available solution space while maintaining Bechtel security standards
  • Provide technical and functional leadership on complex projects
  • Work successfully with various groups to solve business problems with available technology
  • Keep informed of issues and changes in the information security industry including new technology and processes for managing change
  • Develop, pilot, and test secure implementation plans for new technology solutions, including but not limited to those encompassing IoT (Internet of Things), jobsite connectivity and other emerging technologies
  • Provide excellent customer service to stakeholders including routine interactions/communication with customers, vendors and other support staff
  • Function as a technical mentor within  the team and to other employees  in order to foster a team environment.
  • Assists with the audit processes and investigations as needed
  • Travel to Bechtel jobsites and offices as needed

 

Basic Qualifications:

Level 1

  • BS in a computer related field plus 9 years of IT experience, or 15 years of equivalent IT work experience in lieu of a degree
  • 6+ years of hands on experience in 4 or more of the security domains listed below including:
    • Security Governance and Management
    • Access Control
    • Incident Response
    • Network Security Operations
    • Security Architectures
    • Identity Management
    • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
    • System Development Lifecycle (DevOps)
  • US Citizenship required

 

Level 2

  • BS in a computer related field plus 13 years of IT experience, or 19 years of equivalent IT work experience in lieu of a degree
  • 8+ years of hands on experience in 4 or more of the security domains listed below including:
    • Security Governance and Management
    • Access Control
    • Incident Response
    • Network Security Operations
    • Security Architectures
    • Identity Management
    • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
    • System Development Lifecycle (DevOps)
  • US Citizenship required

 

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong network infrastructure design and documentation skills with demonstrable understanding of security frameworks and standards
  • Experience in capturing business requirements and converting business requirements into functional and technical specifications
  • Able to conceptualize and implement security systems and architectures
  • Experience with TCP/IP protocol stack assessment and scanning tools, endpoint solutions, and audit logs from various platforms
  • Experience with both on-prem and cloud infrastructure environments; preferably Azure
  • Demonstrated ability to write business and technical reports and to participate in presentations
  • Ability to learn and provide detailed technical policy on new security products as needed
  • Able to provide security engineering analysis on a variety of information systems
  • Able to design and configure security tools
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA Certifications a plus
