Job Summary:

This role is ideal for an analytical professional who can leverage Power BI, Artificial Intelligence (AI) assisted analytics, other automation tools, and business domain expertise to solve moderately complex challenges with minimal guidance. This highly skilled Specialist designs, builds, and maintains automated analytics solutions that strengthen organizational strategy, operational performance, and financial accuracy.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. #LI-KL1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain scalable Power BI datasets, dataflows, and reports.
  • Develop AI supported insights, including anomaly detection, prediction models, automation of routine tasks, and generative reporting.
  • Perform data modeling, transformation, and quality validation across multiple enterprise systems.
  • Integrate structured and semi structured data from enterprise sources (Oracle data, cost systems, ledger data, HR data).
  • Troubleshoot and optimize slow or failing reports.
  • Translate business needs from Government Services, Financial Planning and Analysis, Controller, or project teams into data models and analytical products.
  • Serve as the data & reporting specialist for the NS&E CFO organization.
  • Interpret moderately complex datasets and create clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Support compliance activities by ensuring data accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Partner with business SMEs, IT/IS&T, and supervisors to refine requirements and validate solution effectiveness.
  • Provide end user support and training on dashboards, models, and data driven decision tools.
  • Contribute to developing standards, templates, and governance for analytics.
  • Communicates insights clearly to nontechnical audiences.
  • Anticipates data issues and proposes effective solutions.
  • Continuously research and evaluate new trends in data analytics, Power BI advancements, and AI integration to recommend innovative solutions that enhance organizational capabilities.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
  • Hands on Power BI expertise.
  • Experience leveraging GenAI or machine learning tools.
  • Federal Acquisition Regulation, Cost Account Standards, Federal Travel Regulations and other government regulation experience is preferred.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Advanced data modeling in Power BI, strong dashboard/report design skills, and solid experience building and managing data pipelines.
  • AI-assisted analytics (Copilot, agents, model prompting, auto summaries).
  • Data quality and governance discipline.
  • Intermediate SQL, advanced Excel, and data automation tools
  • Requires independent decision making within established boundaries.
  • Must understand implications of data errors, model structure, and automation impacts.
  • Has latitude to recommend enhancements to processes, systems, and analytics strategy.
  • Due to work performed on U.S. Government contracts and the associated access requirements, this position is restricted to U.S. citizens. Proof of U.S. citizenship will be required.
