Job Summary:

The Manager of Process, Systems, and Data Strategy will oversee the company’s Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system, Hyperion, while driving strategic process improvements and developing our data strategy. This role will spearhead initiatives to optimize current FP&A processes, enhance data accessibility and governance, and prepare for future EPM upgrades. Acting the key interface between technical teams, business users, and functional stakeholders, the Manager of Process, Systems, and Data Strategy will manage and develop a team to ensure continuous operation and enhancement of our EPM environment as well as process effectiveness across FP&A and broader business operations. #LI-MK1

Major Responsibilities:

FP&A Process Design and System Optimization:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements in FP&A, enhancing systems functionality as well as process efficiency in management reporting and performance monitoring.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Hyperion and related EPM systems, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs, processes, and data strategy.
  • Oversee the technical health, efficiency, and effectiveness of applications used for developing financial and operational forecasts, budgets, and other FP&A processes.
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute long-term strategies for EPM system growth, including leading the planning and implementation of future EPM upgrades.

Data Strategy:

  • Shape data strategy and governance standards to enhance process efficiency, relevance, and analytic value, while driving strategic improvements in data collection practices.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to support integration and accessibility of historical data in the EPM environment, aligning with advanced analytics and strategic insights needs.

Team and Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for functional system support, ensuring seamless coordination between system users and technical teams. Act as the liaison between FP&A and IT to resolve user queries, change management, and ensure timely report development.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives in FP&A, focusing on streamlining cross-functional workflows, process efficiency in management reporting, and data management.
  • Manage system reporting and reconciliation processes to ensure data consistency between Hyperion and other financial systems, supporting accurate monthly reporting and reconciliation efforts.
  • Oversee communications on system changes, patches, and monthly updates, including actuals, forecasts, and system assumptions, ensuring users are well-informed.
  • Lead the creation of user training resources and ensure the development and distribution of clear, concise documentation for system processes and updates.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, information systems, or related fields.
  • 10+ years of experience with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems, with significant experience in Hyperion.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience with experience interacting with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, applying critical thinking and a comprehensive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven track record of leading system upgrades and process improvement initiatives. Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams to drive system improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience leading training and development of clear, consistent documentation for users.
