Job Duties:


As a member of Bechtel’s Communities of Expertise (COE) organization, the Manager of Organizational Change Management (OCM) will report to the COE Manager of Talent and will provide subject matter expertise in organizational change management and improvement culture. The primary focus will be on the people side of change, including the creation and sustainment of an enterprise change management strategy and methodology including consistent methods and tools that maximize employee understanding, adoption, engagement and resiliency to change.


Detailed responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 


  • Lead the development and sustainment of a comprehensive enterprise change management strategy and methodology
  • Design and develop change strategies and programs designed to accelerate awareness, adoption and ownership within the organization
  • Design and develop enterprise change management tools and process, providing expertise and coaching to those leading change initiatives
  • Design and develop tools and processes to enable digital user centric approach to technology adoption
  • Design and implement feedback mechanisms which enable continuous improvements of change methodology within all layers of the organization
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the people side of organizational change management; consult with Human Resources leadership, project teams, and key stakeholders to enable business results through effective people change methods
  • Partner with discipline leaders and Business Unit HR in the architecture of change strategies using a defined methodology, to include communications, training, engagement, and sustainability planning
  • Engage and challenge senior leaders to understand the rationale for change, aligned and fully in support of the business strategy
  • Partner with the key enterprise stakeholders to assess the organization’s capacity to absorb the scale of change interventions and highlight the potential risks and impact on business performance.
  • Identify critical factors in planning change across complex, multi-site locations; identifying risks and creating mitigation plans.
  • Partner with HR Teams on the alignment of communications and training strategies designed to drive change goals.
  • Defining adoption metrics, monitoring change progress and analyzing the impact of solutions to enable change


Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Psychology, OCM, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field with a minimum of 15 years related Organizational Change Management or Business Transformation experience with increasing responsibility over time or 19 years overall experience in lieu of degree
  • Demonstrated experience in similar roles in organizational change management both internal and external, including leadership of 2+ major transformations
  • Proven experience developing strategic workforce programs and workforce analytics that align the organization vision and drive business decisions
  • Experience communicating across all levels and audiences with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Proficient consultation, project management, communication and facilitation skills
  • Ability to use data to inform strategy, problem-solve and make decisions
  • Innovative mindset and curiosity to learn about internal and external industry trends


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Change management certification (ADKAR, Prosci)
  • Advanced degree in related specialization area
