Linux Administrator - Reston

Requisition ID:  228820

Job Title: Linux Administrator

Bechtel seeks a Linux Administrator to support its IT department in Reston, Virginia. This position is with a team of Linux Administrators who support 700 Linux servers. Bechtel's state-of-practice for Linux is highly developed. Yet we expect rapid expansion, requiring this new position.

The Linux team genuinely enjoys technology. They work hard and learn constantly. Routine tasks are relentlessly displaced by automation: installation, patching, desired state via Ansible, etc. Innovation is pervasive.

Socially, the Linux team promotes a lighthearted and mutually-supportive environment. They have regular technical interchange and freely trade ideas via peer reviews.

Since this position will partially support Bechtel's government unit, the candidate must be a US Citizen.
