Bechtel Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) is an exciting and growing business that serves the increasing demand of EPC services for customers in the semiconductor (manufacturing facilities and supply chain); electric vehicle (batteries, charging infrastructure, and production); synthetic materials; and data center markets.

Job Summary:
Bechtel is seeking an Information Manager to join our new Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) business. M&T focuses on delivering complex and world class technology projects that address growing customer, and market demands in the semiconductor, electric vehicle, advanced materials, and data center sectors. This position will support M&T’s projects across multiple business lines.
The Information Manager position reports to the Manager of Information & Innovation within the Digital Solutions function. The Digital Solutions team is responsible for enabling a data-centric execution model for all functions across the full project lifecycle. Digital Solutions contains the core disciplines of automation, information systems & technology (IS&T), records management, and business analytics.
The Information Manager collaborates closely with each function and stakeholders across M&T Projects to achieve data democratization through Data Governance. The position will also be responsible for partnering with functions to lead co-development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions applying Continuous Improvement best practices to benefit the full project lifecycle and the various functional work processes within. #LI-MJ1
Major Responsibilities:
- Oversee development and administration of M&T’s Data Governance Policies, Procedures, and Instructions (PPI) and associated digital governance platform.
- Facilitate the capture and development of data products across our various functions through the full project lifecycle to achieve data democratization.
- Work with cross functional disciplines to develop AI solutions to business challenges by analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights that drive informed decision-making.
- Perform market research to identify AI tech and trends that can improve execution.
- Partner with functions to develop requirements and scope AI initiatives.
- Create business cases and estimates to justify go / no-go AI investment decisions by the M&T or Corporate AI Steering Committees as appropriate.
- Oversee multiple simultaneous AI initiatives, manage priorities, and define timelines to align with organizational goals.
- Capture return on investment (ROI) for initiatives and co-author white papers that walkthrough pilot results, benefits, lessons learned, and scaling strategies.
- Update M&T and Corporate AI registers with progress updates and other key performance metrics to keep the organization informed and aligned.
- Manage financial reporting for AI initiatives to ensure alignment to the baseline plan and identify alternate execution and recovery methods should change occur.
- Develop communications and marketing material for individual initiatives or win themes that exemplify the benefits of Bechtel’s AI program.
- Crosstrain and share best practices across the business line and project team.
- Create external-facing AI marketing material for proposals, conferences, and customer presentations.
- Provide reachback support to projects as needed for innovation strategy or initiative deployments.
- Collaborates and builds relationships with team and other stakeholders.
- Provide training and guidance to functional teams on AI program and best practice.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science, or a related field and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Significant experience in engineering, construction, or project delivery with a proven drive for Continuous Improvement, systems-based approaches, and digital enablement.
- Experience managing pipelines, portfolios, pilots, or proof-of-concepts, including capturing value, ROI, white papers, and lessons learned.
- Experience with Design Thinking, Lean, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Strong understanding of project workflows across design, construction, project controls, and handover processes.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive measurable change across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills—oral, visual, and written—with experience presenting complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to evolving needs, and work across diverse geographic regions and business lines.
- Experience facilitating workshops, meetings, or ideation sessions and ensuring follow-through on decisions and actions.
- Ability to deliver to stakeholders autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit high attention to detail and the ability to ask clarifying questions to ensure the accuracy of technical and commercial requirements.
- Display a high level of business acumen and strong communication skills to deliver effectively to all levels of the organization including to external entities.
- Experience in setting and managing formal estimates, budgets, or staffing plans.
- Demonstrates curiosity, self-learning, and complex problem-solving skills.
