Project Overview:
Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long-lasting energy future for generations to come. This position is subject to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regulations at 10 CFR Part 810 (Part 810), which govern the transfer of hardware, materials, and technology to support the construction and operation of commercial nuclear power plants overseas.
Job Summary:
This position performs expediting activities on the Poland AP1000 Project for the Turbine in compliance with Project Supply Chain and Expediting Procedures and ensures the timely delivery and processing of document submittals, and delivery of materials, and equipment to meet the project needs.

Major Responsibilities:
- Review the issued purchase order/subcontract to understand the requirements in order to perform expediting activities and support the project requirements.
- Participate in weekly scheduling meetings and provide updates.
- Expedite internal engineering for the timely review and return of approval documents/data submitted by suppliers / subcontractors.
- Contact/Expedite suppliers / subcontractors to obtain the timely submission of engineering data, follow up on material acquisitions, production schedules, and shipments.
- Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with engineering and suppliers to review and discuss potential problem areas that may impact the required shipment dates. Input into Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS) and Supplier Performance Database in a timely manner ensuring the information is accurate.
- Coordinate with individuals across many departments, such as Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Supplier Quality, Project Controls, Traffic & Logistics (T&L), and Document Management Control to ensure the purchase order/subcontract is progressing to support project requirements.
- Maintain a working file of expediting related documents and memoranda of conversations to record expediting activities.
- Maintains a system to initiate follow-up actions at appropriate times.
- Provide guidance to the PEXs for the resolution of UOS&Ds (missing materials, damages, shortages, etc.)
- Obtain required information from shipping companies in a timely manner and coordinate with T&L and site security for driver’s acceptance on site.
- Build effective working relationships and interact with suppliers and other project departments.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Skilled in working with and communicating effectively both orally and in writing with other project functional groups and suppliers.
- Basic Understanding of Prime Contracts and flow down of applicable clauses and requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge and understanding of scheduling activities during design and fabrication stages.
- Working knowledge for DSCS and ETA.
