This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long-lasting energy future for generations to come.

We invite you to join our team for this pivotal opportunity on this incredible project.

Job Summary:

The Project Digital Delivery and Innovations Lead (DDIL) is entrusted with spearheading, coordinating, and managing digital delivery and innovation initiatives to ensure the project’s success over a period exceeding ten years. Digital Execution is fundamental to the success of this highly complex, long-term project, and robust digital delivery will be the enabler of this strategy.

This pivotal role demands close collaboration and integration with automation leads across all project functions—including Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction Management, Project Controls, Document Control, Information Technology, Quality, Safety, and Commissioning & Startup. The DDIL’s mission is to identify, develop, and implement digital delivery initiatives and innovative processes that maximize project value by optimizing costs and schedules throughout the project lifecycle.

Operating within the Project Information Management (PIM) team and reporting to the Manager of PIM, the DDIL also engages with the Corporate Digital Delivery team and DDILs from other projects to ensure alignment, share best practices, and drive company-wide success. In partnership with the Manager of PIM, the DDIL will seek Project Management Team (PMT) approval for digital delivery and innovation opportunities, then lead and coordinate these efforts through to completion. The role encompasses generating business cases, presenting initiatives, overcoming barriers, influencing without direct authority, and leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies—offering an exciting and challenging growth opportunity for the right candidate.

Location: Based at the project’s Reston, VA office, with the expectation of relocating to Poland as the project advances to the job site.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead Digital Delivery: Champion digital delivery for the project, ensuring alignment with overall goals and strategic direction from the PIM Manager and PMT.
  • Drive Digital Innovation: Collaborate with functional teams to identify opportunities, validate needs, and, as appropriate, develop business cases, proofs of concept, and field trials.
  • Collaborate with Automation Leads: Work closely with automation leads to identify and promote cross-project digital delivery initiatives, and support them in realizing the full benefits of their efforts.
  • Enable Data Analytics through Machine Learning: Partner with the PIMS team to deliver predictive analytics using proven machine learning techniques and tools.
  • Stay Current with Emerging Technologies: Maintain expertise in AI, Machine Learning, Cloud, and related technologies, assessing their applicability while ensuring compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure Compliance and Mitigate Risks: Identify and address risks associated with digital delivery, with particular attention to nuclear and Polish regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to pass nuclear security screening and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear facility.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
  • Willingness to relocate as required by project objectives.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Sound understanding of engineering and construction processes, with hands-on experience in at least two areas such as Supply Chain, Project Controls, or Commissioning & Startup.
  • Expertise in digital execution strategies and their application to EPC project delivery.

  • Ability to leverage AI, Cloud, and emerging technologies to drive efficiency in nuclear project delivery.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including scope, budget, and priority management, with adaptability to evolving responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of risk mitigation and cybersecurity practices for nuclear and project-related information.
  • Strong background in automation or information systems, with a passion for innovative business analysis.
