DSCS Ops Supervisor

Job Summary:

Seeking an intellectually curious, self-starting individual to join the Digital Supply Chain System team to engage in all things project management and operations. In addition, opportunity exists to learn a wide array of Supply Chain processes, procedures and practices. This position may be asked to provide training, documentation, demonstrations and support of the DSCS to users and management teams from Offices, GBU’s and Projects around the company.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Support the goals and objectives of the Digital Supply Chain System
  2. Supervise the Sourcing and Supplier portal support operations
  3. Assess program level risk by maintaining the Risk/Issue register
  4. Provide system support and “train the trainer” training as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Contract Terms and Conditions and SmartForm functionality; secondary SME for iProcurement and Purchasing functionality
  5. Provide inputs to and assist with planning, organizing and tracking status of deliverables and milestones
  6. Monitor and report on initiatives and activities across the system team to provide cohesive insights to key stakeholders and maintain the DSCS level 1 schedule
  7. Develop executive level presentation materials and status reports
  8. Facilitate status meetings and other ad-hoc meetings to achieve required deliverables
  9. Develop and measure KPI’s to describe the business benefits of DSCS
  10. Support and update project management processes as needed
  11. Provide training, insight and operational control over the suite of tools in use by the DSCS team (i.e. Aconex, SharePoint, OneDrive, Jira, Shared Calendars, MS Project, MS Teams, etc.)
  12. Lead/coordinate quarterly forecast reviews DSCS cost, processes, requirements, and support, providing cost and budget management, forecast management, and the collection and analysis of metrics for DSCS.
  13. Provides functional guidance and direction to the Corporate Procurement team for DSCS cost management.
  14. Think critically and maintain a “can do” attitude in a fast paced and highly variable environment

 

Basic Qualifications:

BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or similar, with five years of related experience

The right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship

 

Additional Qualifications:

Exceptional level of initiative and propensity toward being a self-starter

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Positive, “whatever it takes” attitude to achieving success

Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a highly diverse, decentralized global team

Prior supervisory experience

Exposure to or training in Six Sigma discipline, data-driven approach and methodology

Experience in performing, monitoring, controlling, and reviewing cost engineering functions, such as cost estimating, cost control, financial reporting systems, and cost analysis, in the field and the home office.

Knowledge of Bechtel’s financial, procurement and contracts systems.

Demonstrates an advanced level of understanding of Project Controls general technical skills.

Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, advanced experience with MS Excel.

Demonstrated ability to write basic reports in Excel, MS Access, or other reporting software.
