DSCS Engineering Acquisitions Lead

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Manage the Engineering Acquisition application of Oracle Agile as an integral part of the Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS)
  • Supervision of US-based and global team members in respect of Oracle Agile development, support and deployment activities including:
    • Establishing goals and timelines
    • Planning, assigning and measuring work
    • Performance discussions, setting goals and priorities
  • Collaborate with DSCS Deployment Manager for the successful execution of GBU’s and Projects deployment and configuration of Oracle Agile
  • Drive standardization of Engineering Acquisition applications, standards and investments across the corporation
  • Support Oracle Agile as the primary Subject Matter Expert and Application Owner
  • Coordinate with the GBU chief workshops via the Engineering FSM to ensure alignment of acquisition applications with both the engineering work process owners and automation teams
  • Actively coordinate with other Application Owners within EPC Systems Automation on both corporate and GBU initiatives
  • Manage Oracle Agile application integration standards and procedures in conjunction with both DSCS and EPC Systems Automation application owners
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for Oracle Agile within Bechtel; considering current, short and long-term views
  • Develop and report on metrics and goals to senior management regarding Oracle Agile activities and plans
  • Interface with the Digital Enterprise Program (DEP) and represent Engineering’s data and process requirements where required
  • Champion Oracle Agile application scope in Bechtel’s Advance Work Packaging [AWP] and the automation requirements for successful deployment of AWP across the Enterprise
  • Collaborate with GBU Acquisition SMEs to evaluate modern technologies for adoption and integration
  • Responsible for the preparation and publication of appropriate documentation, “train the trainer” training materials and education of GBU’s and Project's for Oracle Agile
  • Develop and deliver executive level presentation materials and status reports
  • Think critically and maintain a “can do” attitude in a fast paced and highly variable environment

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, IT, Management, Systems or Computer Science and 8 years of relevant work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle Agile
  • Intermediate knowledge of other Bechtel corporate work process and applications (cross-functional)
  • Ability to identify cross-functional and cross-discipline problems and provide innovative solutions
  • Leadership and soft skills to effectively work with the DSCS and CET Automation teams ensuring a smooth operation of Bechtel’s Acquisition applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of EPC work process and cross-functional relationships
  • Know how to manage complex technical discussions with customers, suppliers, and regulators to facilitate appropriate technical outcomes
  • Working knowledge of data management
  • Working knowledge of the Digital Supply Chain System
  • Working knowledge of Bechtel’s Acquisition Applications
  • Good understanding of the EPC functions integration applications, GBU standards, and EPC work processes

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a Functional Oversight or Supervisory role
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Positive, “whatever it takes” attitude to achieving success
  • Expert knowledge of Digital Supply Chain System
  • Expert knowledge of both GBU and corporate procedures
  • Good knowledge of Advance Work Packaging
  • Good working knowledge of industry codes and standards
