DSCS Deployment Manager

Job Summary:

As a member of the Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS) Leadership Team, this role provides oversight and process control for the deployment and sustainment of the Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS).


The successful candidate will identify activities needed to fully achieve successful system adoption, including creation and updating of deployment strategy/plans, manuals, procedures, policies, training materials, schedules, etc., in conjunction with DSCS and corporate resources; facilitate deployment status meetings, educate GBU’s and Projects on the options and features of the DSCS, identify and support training activities, workshops and other meetings, as required; and conduct ongoing coordination activities with functional partners and stakeholders.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Gain understanding of all aspects of project requirements involved with the implementation of the DSCS through partnership with sponsors, managers, leads and project team members
  • Establish and maintain master deployment, setup and configuration plans for new projects
  • Education of stakeholders regarding the functionality and configuration options of the DSCS to support project unique requirements
  • Manage and facilitate new project setup and configuration of DSCS
  • Coordinate with DSCS Change Lead on the development and execution of deployment communications and change management requirements 
  • Conduct periodic readiness assessments and appropriate interventions
  • Assist with training needs assessments and support the development of associated training structure and materials
  • Deliver regular status reports and schedules to management as required
  • Work with both the DSCS Functional and Technical team members to communicate priorities of deployment activities, including coordination of production support critical issues
  • Report risks and issues that may impact the success of deployment of DSCS to the appropriate level of the organization
  • Travelling to Bechtel offices and projects to assist in deployment activities, including training sessions and management coordination, will be required
  • The DSCS Deployment Manager will report to the Global Supply Chain Systems Manager and will coordinate closely with the DSCS Change Lead, DSCS Technical Manager, GBU DSCS Implementation Managers, GBU DSCS Specialists and various project resources as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


Consistency in follow up, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field of study, plus 11 years of related experience or 16 years of related experience in lieu of education. Experience must include a minimum of 8 years in Procurement/Subcontracts, plus 3 years of project experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Bechtel supply chain policies, procedures, and work processes
  • Expert Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent English language communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must have legal right to work in U.S. without sponsorship


Additional Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • Strong planning, prioritization and organization skills
  • Customer-service oriented individual with a demonstrated professional demeanor and communication style
  • Must be able to communicate about technical issues to non-technical coworkers
  • Collaborative and consultative work style is essential
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including early mornings, late nights and weekends
  • Basic knowledge in Database technology
  • Experience with MS SharePoint, MS Teams and Jira systems is beneficial
  • Current experience in customer problem solving and end user support is beneficial
  • Knowledge of Bechtel supply chain systems and practices are highly desirable
  • Exposed to or trained in Six Sigma disciplined, data-driven approach and methodology is desirable
  • Capable of applying good judgment in a matrixed and complex organizational structure
  • Proficiency with the Bechtel Leadership Model
