Bechtel is embarking on an organizational transformation called the Digital Enterprise Program (DEP) which is designed to redefine the company from a departmental, document-centric, and functional/disciplined EPC execution to an integrated data centric, and Total Installed Cost (TIC) optimized EPC execution model. The focus of DEP is the transformation of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) work process, tools, roles and responsibilities to support the transfer of trust and authority of information from documents to data resulting in a step change in project performance (craft time on tools).   

 

The DEP Change Management Lead will play a key role in the Bechtel digital transformation focusing on the people side of the change, developing and implementing strategies focusing on employee adoption and usage, and minimizing organizational resistance. 

 

Job Duties:

Detailed responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Apply change management best practices to develop strategy to drive adoption of DEP;
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders;
  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics;
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance;
  • Develop and implement strategies to gauge adoption of tool changes, gather feedback, and methods to address identified gaps and issues;
  • Support analysis of organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities;
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure sustainability of change;
  • Support development of a digital culture to enhance change initiatives company-wide;  
  • Utilizing Agile project and change management methodology to develop and deliver on communications plans that provide awareness for and knowledge of changing processes, tools & technology
  • Partner with Learning and Development, communications to support the design, development, delivery and management of communications and training programs.

 

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology, Organizational Change Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years related Change Management, Organizational Development or Business Transformation experience with increasing responsibility over time, or 14 years of Organizational Development experience in lieu of degree;

  • Experience developing and implementing change strategy across a multi-national, multi-sector company;
  • Ability to gather and utilize feedback and use data to inform strategy, problem-solve and make decisions;
  • Innovative mindset and curiosity to learn about internal and external industry trends;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Flexibility to work in an agile environment and juggle multiple concurrent tasks. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience through the complete life cycle of at least one digital transformation;
  • Advanced degree in related specialization area.
