Project Overview:

Los Pelambres desalination plant - AD800:

Bechtel's joint Energy and M&M team is executing the Phase 2 expansion of the Minera Los Pelambres (MLP) desalination plant in Los Vilos, Chile, which will double production from 400 liters per second to 800 l/s. The expansion follows the successful execution of the INCO Project, which uses desalinated water to increase MLP's copper production.

The expansion will include:

  • Detailed engineering and procurement for the desalination plant, pump stations and related infrastructure to double production.
  • Development of an execution strategy and detailed EPC plan, delivery schedule and Level 3 capital estimate to support full project financing.
  • Possible early works on site.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide document and records management support and assist with establishing work processes. You will assist with the ECMS (Enterprise Content Management Systems), integrations, reports and Power BI dashboards. You will support your team with quality checks, resolving issues, providing software training, metrics, and planning. Your work will help ensure efficient and accurate management of documents and records.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Serving as a member of the document management support group to support Enterprise Content Management Systems (ECMS) such as Aconex and archival/retention management systems such as DocFinity, and other associated tools​.
  • Assisting in determining requirements/expectations for integrations, and with preparing a plan to provide ongoing support.
  • Using standard Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS), archival/retention management systems, and/or SaaS applications to register, control, distribute, transmit and archive project records​.
  • Interacting with end users to support, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Resolving access issues due to SSO or other authentication tools/processes​.
  • Monitoring and ensuring timely closure of support tasks/incidents​.
  • Maintaining and developing standard reporting practices​.
  • Planning and executing migration and/or upgrade events and plans and executes validation processes​.
  • Interacting and communicating within automation and IS&T groups​.
  • May developing and leading implementing records retention and turnover plans​.
  • Providing training on work processes and tools. Interacting with vendors and suppliers.​
  • Supporting triage and root cause analysis exercises when required. May assist with server and/or repository decommissioning.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Aconex System and having operated on said platform.
  • Ability to be able to generate and maintain Distribution Matrices (with internal and external agents)
  • 3rd Party Document and Information Management (Vendors, Contractors & Clients)
  • Reporting tools and techniques.
  • Generate function-specific Procedures and Instructions applicable for the assigned Project.
  • Experience operating and managing as a Document Control.
  • Knowledge of the universal standard processes of the function.
  • If possible, academic training or specialization for Document Management.
  • Ability to adapt to changes (flexibility) related to project scheduling.
