Project Overview:
Bechtel is pursuing a significant new award of work in Egypt. The Project will cover the development of luxurious residential, commercial, and recreational spaces, tourism amenities, and economic zones. If successful, Bechtel’s contract for the delivery of this project will be for project management and construction management services. This position is contingent upon project award, client approval and staffing plan changes.
Job Summary:
In this position, you will leverage industry trends and best practices to ensure talent strategies meet project goals. You will provide oversight and set talent metrics on initiatives such as employee development, training delivery, performance management, and change management to elevate organizational performance at Bechtel.
Major Responsibilities:
- Conduct needs assessment to determine talent requirements of project in consultation with project and Global Business Unit (GBU) stakeholders.
- Develop an annual Project Talent strategy to include applicable learning, development and talent programs including metrics based on needs assessment.
- Execute project training plans to include the preparation, scheduling, monitoring, communication, and evaluation. Provide regular status reporting to Project stakeholders and GBU Talent Management.
- Coordinate closely with Project stakeholders, Regional and GBU Talent Management, and GBU stakeholders on the delivery of corporate, GBU and functional training programs
- Lead the delivery of Talent Special Programs at the project level which may include RISE (re-entry in STEM employment), Co-op/Intern, and Early Career Hire (ECH) programs. Provide regular status reports and communications to Project stakeholders and GBU Talent Management.
- Coordinate and facilitate the Upward Feedback Meeting activities on the project.
- Conducts project and GBU 360-degree assessment debriefings as needed by project teams.
- Organize, develop, or source training programs to meet project-specific training needs.
- Collaborate with senior project leadership and the Regional Talent Management team to identify organizational development interventions that proactively support and enhance positive customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and deliver the project onboarding and “buddy” program to ensure a positive employee experience
- Support the wider human resources team, as needed, to ensure timely delivery of project HR services
- Supervise project training coordinator ensuring learning administration activities are completed
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of assessment and diagnostic tools like 360-degree feedback and understanding of how to use these tools effectively in a project context.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders, senior leaders, and team members, as well as to deliver feedback and facilitate discussions.
- Fluency in English and Arabic both written and spoken
- Experienced in facilitating debriefing sessions and workshops effectively to foster engagement and drive results.
- Experienced in managing the end-to-end lifecycle of Talent Development Programs
- Experienced in gap analysis and Training Needs Assessments
- Familiar with human resources policy, process, and practice within Egypt
