Project Overview:

The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team have signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas fired power generation facilities in the U.S.

The Kilby CCGT project is of significant scale and complexity, and our team is helping the customer progress early-stage development, that would lead to the start of full EPC delivery this year.

The candidate will act as the Project Site Services Superintendent (Scaffolding / Const. Equip) on the upcoming Kilby project in Pecos, TX. The candidate will mobilize directly to the field when the candidate will locate on a long-term assignment to Pecos, Texas. This position is contingent upon project award.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders’ involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor’s management staff. Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.  #LI-SP1

Major Responsibilities:

Leadership/Supervision

  • Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned. 
  • Schedules work to be performed, and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
  • Performs general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions. 

Planning/Productivity

  • Determines workforce requirements.
  • Coordinates established area operational plans. 
  • Coordinates activities with other disciplines or areas and clients’ resident representatives, as instructed by construction management. 

Safety/Quality

  • Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements 
  • Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management. 
  • Ensures Zero Accident Philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely. 

Technical

  • Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents
  • Oversees engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
  • Coordinates with Design on constructability issues. 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelors degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9 -12 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in Combined Cycle and/or Light Duty Gas Turbines/Aeroderivative projects are preferred.
  • Strong experience with scaffolding systems and construction equipment management (planning, utilization, and field execution).
  • Proven safety leadership with deep knowledge of occupational safety and health administration (OSHA) standards, fall protection, and equipment safety.
  • Experience on large-scale industrial/EPC projects, preferably combined cycle or aeroderivative turbine projects.
  • Ability to plan and forecast scaffold and equipment needs aligned with construction schedules (look-ahead planning).
  • Demonstrated success managing direct-hire, open shop craft professionals and subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of multi-discipline construction operations (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical).
  • Ability to identify and resolve field constraints proactively (access, congestion, equipment conflicts).
  • Experience coordinating construction completion walkdowns and driving punch list closeout to completion.
  • Commercial awareness, including identifying back charges, out-of-scope work, and supporting cost recovery efforts.
  • Working knowledge of company standards, procedures, and lessons learned (EPC execution frameworks).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building and maintaining high-performing field teams.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended schedules to meet project demands and critical milestones.
