Project Overview:
Corpus Christi LNG (CCL) is in Gregory, Texas, approximately 14 miles northeast of Corpus Christi, Texas. Bechtel’s collaboration with Cheniere Energy continued, in June 2022, when Bechtel was awarded full notice to proceed (FNTP) to continue construction on CCL Stage 3A, which consists of seven midscale (~10 MTPA combined capacity) liquefaction trains, and associated facilities and utilities. In June 2025, Cheniere Energy awarded Bechtel FNTP for the CCL project expansion (CCL Stage 3B)—also known as the Midscale Trains 8 and 9 and Debottlenecking Project, which consists of two midscale (~5 MTPA combined capacity) liquefaction trains and operational enhancements.
Job Summary:
Bechtel Energy is searching for an enthusiastic project communications specialist to join our Corpus Christi LNG project team. This role will support the project’s communications efforts; more specifically, will drive the positive and engaging promotion of project activities and initiatives. The successful applicant will work closely with project personnel, subcontractors, customer representatives, media, and the corporate affairs teams to proactively manage the company and project's reputation throughout the various phases of construction. #LI-AM3
This position will be based on the Corpus Christi LNG jobsite in Gregory, Texas.
Major Responsibilities:
- Understanding project milestones and performance metrics to proactively develop communications materials that will be used to disseminate the information to those managing and performing the work.
- Generating story ideas - writing, and editing content for internal and external communications channels, including Bechtel.com, SharePoint, emails, online promotions, and marketing materials.
- Championing and promoting Bechtel and project activities to support and build a positive and enjoyable culture.
- Developing effective communication strategies that inform and educate the workforce of upcoming change through the provision of clear, concise, and timely information.
- Engaging and collaborating with the customer and stakeholders around communications matters.
- Supporting all disciplines with communications and other activities as required, including the development of presentations, bulletins, toolbox talks, posters, and other material.
- Capturing project imagery through photography and videography.
- Coordinating, managing, and participating in events and activities both onsite and in the local community.
Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.

6+ years’ experience in journalism, marketing communications, or communications (writing samples may be required).
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to proactively obtain the data required for communication of progress and performance information.
- Experience in internal communications roles.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively translate technical info into compelling content for targeted audiences.
- A quick learner with proven ability to communicate complex concepts in compelling, concise, and creative ways.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Ability to engage others at various levels of the project team and develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to take direction from multiple sources and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple project campaigns simultaneously from start to finish and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite, and email content management systems.
- Construction and/or LNG industry experience a plus.
