Project Overview:
Port Arthur LNG is a proposed natural gas liquefaction and export terminal in Southeast Texas with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. At peak construction, the project expects to create over 5,000 jobs. At full capacity, this LNG project will include two natural gas liquefaction trains capable of producing, under optimal conditions, up to approximately 13.5 million tons per annum for export around the world.
Job Summary:
As an HR Operations Professional, you will interact with employees, supervisors, and managers to answer and resolve inquiries and issues on HR policies, such as benefits, payroll, retirement, and international assignments. You will monitor the progress of existing human resource programs, and your work will assist with process improvement and drive HR operational efficiency at Bechtel. #LI-KL1
Major Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of human resources operations activities in one or several of these areas:
Employee Services
Employee Data Input
Employee Mobility
Employment Administration
- Coordinate and implement project HR activities across staffing, onboarding/offboarding, employee engagement, training, visa tracking, and personnel transactions.
- Enhance the employee experience through effective lifecycle administration and support.
- Advise employees, supervisors, and managers on HR policies, benefits, travel, and general inquiries.
- Maintain HR records, perform data audits, and generate reports.
- Support monitoring of HR programs, identify process improvement opportunities, and assist in employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist staffing efforts by coordinating with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition, maintaining SmartStaff, and tracking position statuses.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Project HR Manager.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Relevant experience supporting HR project activities, preferably in a construction environment.
- Prior cross-functional support in at least two HR areas, such as talent acquisition, HR operations, compensation, benefits, learning and development, or data analysis.
- Proficient in HR tools including SAP, SmartStaff, Information Management and TalentWorks.
- Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, with effective time management and conflict resolution abilities.
