Project Overview:
Currently under construction, Port Arthur LNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal in Southeast Texas with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. The project facilities will include two natural gas liquefaction trains capable of producing, under optimal conditions, up to approximately 13.5 mtpa; as well as the construction of new natural gas pipelines to deliver natural gas to the terminal.
Job Summary:
You will coordinate the development and implementation of site medical plans, protocols, facility requirements, emergency procedures, audits, inspections, quality assurance, and other medical practice management tasks. Your work will promote health, safety, and wellness for on-site employees. #LI-VB1
Major Responsibilities:
- Oversee the clinical, operational, technical, and budgetary aspects of the health services sub-contractor.
- Facilitate the execution of the medical services contract with regards to scope of work, quality assurance, and compliance with regulatory standards where applicable to emergency procedures, and health and medical facility regulations in the country of operations and Bechtel requirements.
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the on-site subcontractor health services provider which includes daily meetings with the CTL, staffing plan validation and assessment, Budget reviews, document reviews and verification of invoices.
- Facilitate weekly meeting to review all work-related injuries and illnesses and non-occupational illnesses and injuries for return to work and requirements.
- Liaise daily with medical services sub-contractor team leader to ensure clinics are running efficiently and within contract scope.
- Provide assistance to project construction management team in implementing and complying with applicable project ES&H requirements and in addressing safety/health issues as they arise during project execution.
- Follows-up on emergency hospital cases keeping the Project ES&H Manager, project management, and HR/IR apprised of the status of patients.
- Assist with the Worker’s Compensation process.
- Work directly with the Project ESH Manager in case determination related to mechanism of injuries.
- Monitors and actively participates with Supervisors of our employees the need for a robust Return to Work Program.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Nursing Science, Occupation Health and Safety degree or equivalent.
- Prior experience working in an emergency management setting with a broad understanding of medical and emergency protocols
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- The ability to establish working relationships with subcontractor medical provider and work in a ‘one team’ environment to deliver outstanding performance for the project.
- The ability to understand the intricacies of case management principals and how they apply to OSHA Record Keeping guidelines, providing the project with sound advice during injury analysis.
- Prior experience in, or the ability to quickly acquire, the understanding of how to oversee clinic management in an occupational health setting.
- Knowledge of the workers compensation process and Occupational Health Standards and Regulations.
