Project Overview:
Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located at State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake.
Job Summary:
Supports the Industrial Relations Lead in executing the Industrial Relations function on a field project. Responsible for overseeing daily operations related to onboarding, compliance, and workforce support. Ensures accuracy of documentation, resolves issues, and provides guidance to Industrial Relations Administrators. Maintains regular interaction with the craft workforce, project supervision, and internal stakeholders.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assists with onsite new hire arrivals of the required manual workforce and oversees onboarding accuracy and compliance. This includes collecting additional documents for per diem, ensuring setup with ESS, and providing guidance during onboarding and site transition.
- Ensures the accuracy and compliance of required documentation for government and/or client project requirements, including I-9, EAD/employment verifications, background compliance, and pre-employment processing; reviews and resolves discrepancies as needed.
- Validates credentials for authenticity and verifies completeness of onboarding packages; ensures proper processing of accreditations.
- Actions and review reports related to document expirations, ensuring timely updates and compliance.
- Supports and monitors data integrity within Industrial Relations automation tools and reports.
- Works with Recruiting and Onboarding Processors to ensure adherence to procedures; troubleshoots issues and provides guidance on hiring policies and processes.
- Leads verification and review of documentation including identification, per diem qualifications, NCCER/NCCCO certifications, and banking-related issue resolution.
- Assists in and at times prepares RPA for onsite promotions or classification changes including the creation of exceptions to policy as needed.
- Coordinates with Industrial Relations Administrators on EC/SAP updates for employment changes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintains continuous communication with the Industrial Relations Lead, escalating complex or high-risk issues as needed, to ensure compliance with project/office work rules and applicable labor and equal employment/affirmative action laws.
- Provides day-to-day guidance and support to Industrial Relations Administrators.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in researching, analyzing, and developing reports, including collection of statistical data.
- Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet applications, and data management systems.
- Ability to prioritize, resolve issues, and manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
