Project Overview:
Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects.
As the #1 LNG EPC contractor by installed capacity, Bechtel has the capability to successfully deliver a broad range of LNG projects through our integrated EPC self-perform model, strategic partnerships, and proven experience in LNG project delivery. Partnering with Bechtel means lower cost, shorter delivery schedules, and greater certainty of outcomes for our customers.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will help develop industrial relations training and orientation programs for employees and supervisors, such as on-boarding, work rule enforcement, and grievance procedures. You will assist with audits, input data for dues collections, and record meeting minutes. In addition to providing valuable support, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of industrial relations. #LI-TH1
Major Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative assistance and support to the project-based employee relations program.
- Assisting in incoming employee issues, receiving employees at field office, manages documentation and/or data collection as appropriate.
- Documents jurisdictional work assignments. Maintains associated documentation for records.
- Assists in employee surveys and presentations of data for reporting to management.
- Assists in daily, weekly and monthly employee data reporting.
- Performs research and develops statistical information, data and assist in investigations.
- May prepare and distribute site notifications, project information and tracking meeting action items.
- Develops knowledge of practical application of labor laws, equal employment/affirmative action legislation and related government policies.
- Assists in monitoring work practices daily on a field project and advises superior of observed and/or anticipated employee issues.
- Determines action on important or emergency matters and knows correct escalation procedures.
- Coordinates meetings, arranging for facilities, equipment and materials as required.
- Assists in emergency call in's and notifications to employees.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires 2-4 years of related experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of grammatical rules, spelling, punctuation and required formats.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to independently anticipate problems, in an environment of rapidly changing priorities.
- Experience in researching and developing reports and collecting statistical data.
