Job Summary:
In this position, you will work with the project team to lead a team to manage the entire set of planning activities for assigned projects. You will identify schedule trends, analyze data to provide innovative solutions to scheduling challenges, ensure schedule updates are completed on time, and be responsible for reporting requirements. Your leadership will be essential in driving scheduling efficiency and project success. #LI-BH1
Major Responsibilities:
- Manages planning activities for a significant area within a project, including Level 3 and Level 4 schedules
- Identifies schedule trends for management attention
- Analyzes data to provide innovative solutions to scheduling challenges
- Ensures schedule updates are completed in time to support project reporting requirements
- Supports project organizational and administrative activities
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of Project Controls functional disciplines and competency expectations, including planning/scheduling, cost engineering, and related soft-skill requirements.
- Knowledge of Project Risk Management practices used within Project Controls, including risk reviews, risk workshops, interviews/information gathering, and risk quantification activities.
- Knowledge of Project Controls performance requirements, metrics, and reporting standards, including use of structured risk frameworks/tools where applicable.
- Knowledge of how risk management interfaces with Project Controls responsibilities and accountability at the project level.
- Knowledge of functional/department business planning and strategy execution within a Project Controls organization.
- Knowledge of Project Controls certification concepts and skills inventory expectations (skills inventories and project experience requirements tied to Project Controls roles).
- Working knowledge of widely used project controls methods such as WBS development, CPM scheduling concepts, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Working knowledge of project controls toolsets and reporting tools commonly used for planning and reporting (e.g., Primavera P6 / MS Project; reporting in Excel/Power BI).
