Job Summary:
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will manage all Contracts and Procurement activities for the project, including purchasing activities. Lead and develop the Supply Chain team and implement the procurement and sub/contract plans while leveraging value and efficiencies and ensuring the monitoring of safety, quality, cost, and performance.
To be successful in the Supply Chain Manager role, you will need to have exceptional communication and relationship building skills to effectively liaise with all levels of the Project team and our suppliers and contractors.
This project has a number of significant machine packages procured internationally and will require detailed management and oversight.
Major Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of experienced contracts and procurement professionals to drive culture and performance while delivering on our supply chain and project commitments.
- Executing Supply Chain packages, plans, procedures, schedules, and budgets while mitigating claims and ensuring no impact to project.
- Manage all aspects of the contract lifecycle from pre-contracts, award and administration including leading negotiations and claims management.
- Identifies opportunities for schedule relief and claim avoidance and take appropriate actions to protect the Projects interest and improve performance.
- Develops relationships with suppliers and contractors that contribute to the smooth execution of contracts and project.
- Ensure the monitoring of safety, quality, cost, and performance and that all contractual duties and obligations are met by all parties to each purchase order and sub/contract.
- Prepares recommendations and reports for contracting for major materials and services, taking into consideration legal, commercial, and financial factors.
- Other responsibilities as designated.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience.
- Global experience in Project Supply chain Management.
- Experience and thorough understanding of Supply Chain operations at both office and jobsite locations.
- Low Cost Country Sourcing experience beneficial
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Skilled in all aspects of leading and developing a team
- Thorough knowledge of end to end management of contract and procurement activities and claims management.
- Experience in working with the other functional i.e. Project Controls, Engineering, HSE, Quality and Construction to deliver project objectives
