Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team and interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate the engineering technical aspects for complex projects. You will participate in project planning, proposal review, and will own the engineering elements of capital estimates. Your technical guidance and recommendations will ensure engineering aspects meet project requirements and remain within scope and budget. 

"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”

Major Responsibilities:

• Supervises the engineering activity (all disciplines) on a small project, or designated portions of a project, for a global business unit​.
• Plans and directs engineering assignments on the project​.
• Possesses technical responsibilities for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating these assignments​.
• Ensures the facilities are designed in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner in accordance with policies and all applicable laws, regulations, authorization basis, codes, standards and technical requirements​.
• Represents Engineering on the project and with the client to resolve technical questions, expedite procurements, co-ordinate construction interfaces and as required to coordinate work​.
• Ensures work process execution and technical adequacy are in accordance with contract and industry standards​.
• Coordinates engineering effort with Project Manager, Procurement, Construction, Startup, Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H) and Project Controls​.
• Prepares or directs the preparation of project studies, reports, forecasts, special engineering reports and plant data book.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience​.
• Preferential will be in field experience across either EPCM and/or EPC execution models on major, complex projects.
• Based in Perth.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills must be computer-literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
• Proficient planning and problem-solving skills.
• Proven customer relationship skills are essential.
• Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H). Demonstrable commitment to a Zero Accident safety program or similar.
