Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us in a long-term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtel’s capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future.
Job Summary:
Major Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage processes for project systems completion and handover, ensuring smooth asset and information transfer from contractors to end users.
- Oversee testing programs, handover documentation, and training in line with procedures and regulations; design commissioning sequences to support ORAT milestones.
- Collaborate with construction teams to develop work sequencing and systems-based packaging for efficient completion and testing.
- Identify and integrate requirements into contractor contracts; review and oversee contractor Testing & Commissioning and Completion & Handover Plans.
- Review and approve contractor submittals, including ORAT plans, procedures, schedules, costs, and reports.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, customers, and the airport business community.
- Manage complex interactions across multiple functional teams and customer relationships.
- Define and execute handover requirements, ensuring documentation and asset transfer.
- Prepare and manage project administrative and technical documents for completions, turnover, handover, asset/data management, and operational readiness.
- Monitor ORAT progress, evaluate changes, and advise corrective actions; review schedules and testing close-out plans.
- Stay current with technological developments in commissioning and operational services.
- Collect business requirements, document processes, and recommend technical developments to improve infrastructure and stakeholder outcomes.
- Conduct feasibility studies and contribute to application software development roadmaps.
- Maintain architecture artefacts and prepare diagrams to guide technical direction.
- Provide specialist advice on policies and procedures; resolve queries and refer complex issues.
- Pursue professional development, training, and accreditation; maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology and industry best practices.
- Perform other responsibilities as directed by leadership.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years relevant experience.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Experience in design, construction, and operation of systems for major projects or airport special systems.
- Management experience in self-perform engineering for major design/build, EPC, or A/E projects.
- Strong background in systems engineering and technical risk assessment for large infrastructure or aviation projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI.
- Familiarity with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and reporting tools.
