Project Overview:

We are looking for people to join us in a long-term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtel’s capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future.

Job Summary:

Will be assigned low-medium value or low-medium complexity contracts administer following package award.The Administrator will provide ongoing contract administration/management duties in support of the Program Contracts Manager in the management of the contract including payments and variations. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Supports the preparation, development and administration of contracts in alignment with Perth Airport’s capital and project delivery programs.
  • Assists in drafting contract documentation, collecting inputs from stakeholders, and setting up clear documentation and communication plans to ensure all parties understand their obligations.
  • Monitors contractor and consultant performance against contractual and scope requirements, maintaining accurate records, updating reporting templates, and tracking progress against established KPIs.
  • Identifies emerging issues and potential risks, escalating appropriately and contributing to the development of practical solutions.
  • Provides support in managing claims, processing variations, and responding to contractual matters to ensure compliant and timely resolution.
  • Works collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support procurement and contract formation processes, ensuring information is shared, timelines are understood, and deliverables are met. Assists with stakeholder briefings, workshops and coordination meetings to keep all parties aligned throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Builds and maintains constructive working relationships with contractors, suppliers and internal teams, communicating changes and updates clearly and professionally.
  • Coordinates with Quantity Surveyors and consultants to support the accuracy of cost estimates, cost plans and scope-related deliverables.
  • Tracks financial information related to variations, approved changes and project costs, ensuring updates are reflected in relevant documentation.
  • Supports the Program Senior Commercial Manager by providing accurate data inputs, assisting in financial reporting, ensuring appropriate cost allocation, and helping maintain alignment with governance, audit and procurement requirements.
  • Contributes to monitoring budgets, identifying inconsistencies, and supporting financial risk review activities.
  • Other responsibilities as reasonably directed by leadership team.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Typically requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of contract management for multi-disciplinary firms for major infrastructure projects.
  • Skill in working and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups.
  • Working knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices, applicable commercial regulations and practices, and Bechtel policies, procedures and work practices.
