Project Overview:

Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us in a long-term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtel’s capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future. 

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for oversight of the Commissioning, Completions and operational readiness with a delivery term of the project. The role requires maintaining consistency and direction to the contractors that align with the project technical delivery requirements. 

A specific technical focus of the role will be to monitor the progress of the contractors so that a contractual deliverables are scheduled and provided to support turnover and operational readiness.   

Major Responsibilities:

• Provides guidance for commissioning, handover and operational readiness for specific scopes of work
• Review and comment on contract documentation with respect to Commisioninng, Completions and operational readiness 
• Review engineering products as required to support responsibilities 
• Implement reporting and tracking tools and guidelines for Commissioning, Completions and operational readiness 
• Support schedule reviews
• Provide leadership and direction to direct reports 
• Provide input to update and develop relevant project procedures
• Engage with all relevant stakeholders including customer, operations and external 3rd parties as required to support the role 

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13  years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Skill in working and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers, contractors and team members.
• Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, training, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing.
• Proficient knowledge of project Commissioning & Completion processes and procedures.
• Understanding of standards and requirements of an ORAT program.
• Previous experience with ORAT or Operational Trials in an Airport or large scale infrastructure project.
• Proven ability to lead a team
