Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us in a long-term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtel’s capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead the delivery teams to develop, coordinate, and implement the governance procedures for comissioning, completions and integration of the scopes of work. Your team will assist with program requirements, budget estimates, commissioning schedules and operational readiness preparation including oversight og training manuals, and with maintaining a comprehensive records system. Your leadership will help ensure goals are attained, schedules are met, modifications are made as necessary, and reporting requirements are fulfilled.
Major Responsibilities:
- Leads on coordination with area teams to identify and resolve site-wide construction, testing and commissioning and related interfaces issues.
- Follow the Portfolio team governance procedures are adhered to the requirements
- Monitor, manage and coordinate the integration of the works carried out by stakeholders and contractors.
- Keep the contractors, internal stakeholders and other relevant parties informed of the timing and nature of any proposed or planned works.
- Develops reporting material using the various tools available (POWER BI dashboard, BIM models, construction documentation, construction programs, etc.) to support interface works with the various stakeholders with the objective of assessing and closing out site wide construction completion issues.
- Ensures contractor’s handover documentation programs meet contract requirements and project targets, and is consistent for assigned area.
- Identification and resolution of program-wide technical or process issues related to completions programme.
- Ensure effective communication of the status stakeholder activities across the Airport Site. Includes production of communication material, hosting meetings or briefing sessions or other means of communication.
- Work closely with Delivery colleagues to address commercial and technical issues and follow-up documentation as issues arise.
- Contribute to established project processes to manage change control, contractual compliance or other management processes.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Skill in working and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups. Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Computer literate in MS Office and database applications required.
- Experience on Airport Operational Readiness teams on new terminal facilities at large domestic or international airports.
- Understanding of ORAT testing concepts through experience in supporting or executing operational trials.
- Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, training, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing.
- Proficient knowledge of project Commissioning & Completion processes and procedures.
- Ability to influence and engage in a collaborative working environment with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining necessary levels of commercial awareness.
