Project Overview:
The Parker Point Stockyard Sustaining (PPSS) Project requires the replacement of three existing bucket wheel reclaimers. The Project includes the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning including associated structural, mechanical, electrical and communications services, of three new bucketwheel reclaimers at the Parker Point Iron Ore Facility located in Dampier, Western Australia.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will perform mobilization and logistics duties that require proficiency, accuracy, judgement, initiative, discretion, and knowledge of protocol. You will handle both routine and complicated items, assisting Contractors with mobilisation of personnel to the Project, coordinating travel, coordination of the site roster for Bechtel, Client and Contractor personnel and composing correspondence. Your ability to anticipate problems and changing priorities will help bring efficiency and organization to your team.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assists manager with a moderate scope of decision-making activities
- Handles complex mobilisation and logistics administrative items independently
- Provides support of a highly responsible and highly confidential nature
- Independently anticipates problems and changing priorities; alerts manager and may take action to adapt manager’s schedule/commitments accordingly
- Completes business independently, or refers to other staff, forwards the most important to the senior manager, and follows up to ensure action
- Duties require accuracy, judgment, a high degree of initiative, discretion, diplomacy, and knowledge of protocol
- Coordinates complex travel arrangements and travel itineraries;
- Compiles and distributes conference notes and meeting minutes, and the action items that result from the conferences and meetings
- Uses Bechtel electronic document management system
- Required to manage documents in the client’s document management system
- Accommodation Management for Parker Point Project team
- INX reporting, flight manifest management
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience
- Related technical training preferred
- Familiarisation with Rio Tinto training, mobilisation and travel management systems including Scodle, Pegasus, WorkDay and PALMS would be advantageous
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Career-level position within field
- Considered skilled and proficient in discipline
- Seasoned, experienced with a full understanding of area of role, resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways
