Project Overview:

The Project includes the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of 3 new bucket-wheel reclaimers including associated structural, mechanical, electrical and communications services. The Project also includes the design and construction of associated off-board scope including bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, structural works and electrical upgrades to support the functionally safe operation of the new reclaimers.

Job Summary:

Bechtel Mining and Metals is seeking an experienced person to become Document Management Support and join our Perth team.   Assigned to one or more key result areas of a project, as Document Management Support, you will plan, control, and perform the activities of document management.  With responsibilities in the areas of records management, document control, and client administrative staff, you will work to ensure that area procedures satisfy project, client, and regulatory requirements.
 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the standard Electronic Document Management Systems (ECMS), Aconex, to register, control, distribute, and transmit design documentation received from Project Administration.
  • Review deliverables of assigned staff to ensure that procedures are clearly understood and are being fully implemented and provide follow-up training where necessary.
  • Coordinate the implementation of procedures and ensure training records are current for administrative personnel.
  • Support construction quality audits and internal technical reviews.
  • Prepare routine documents using standard word processing, spreadsheets, or other office software as needed to support work activities.
  • Other duties as designated.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • General experience in all areas of document control and ability to use Electronic Document Management Systems (ECMS), Aconex.
  • Awareness of quality issues, especially revision control and formatting associated with issuing of documents.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work under minimum supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills.
