Project Overview:
The Project includes the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of 3 new bucket-wheel reclaimers including associated structural, mechanical, electrical and communications services.
The Project also includes the design and construction of associated off-board scope including bulk earthworks, civil infrastructure, structural works and electrical upgrades to support the functionally safe operation of the new reclaimers.
Job Summary:
As Trend Engineer, you will influence, drive and coach the team in effective change management at all stages of delivery on a large scale mining and metals project.
Major Responsibilities:
- Support change management and annual project forecast update activities.
- Support development, interpretation, and execution of policies, objectives, and standards applicable to trend/change management activities.
- Participates in the development and change management related training of assigned personnel and the implementation of on-the-job and classroom training programs.
- Prepares, coordinates, and directs change management related presentations of trends to Bechtel and client management, as required, to support Lead Cost and change controls meetings.
- Provides leadership and guidance for the analysis of specially assigned change related initiatives or work planning requiring detailed change assessment, forecasting and response planning efforts
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience or, in lieu of a degree, a high school degree or equivalent plus ten (10) or more years of progressive experience.
- Project Controls experience on large projects.
- Experience implementing change management systems that compliment contractual arrangements.
- EPC/EPCM experience on major programs.
- Experience in the Mining or Energy industries Demonstrated skill in identifying, analysing, and solving problems.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong communication skills to influence, drive and coach the team in effective change management at all stages of delivery.
- Demonstrated capability to interface with commercial and technical functions to effect baseline change management.
- Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated ability to present information to management and to the client.
- Engineering and construction management experience customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
- Proven track record of successful project change management and full exposure to project business case scrutiny processes and project controls practices (e.g., baseline trending).
- Demonstrated skill in supporting and directing change management activities.
- Demonstrated experience in delivery, communication, and training of change management processes and procedures.
Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
