Project Overview
Bechtel is seeking Expressions of Interest for an upcoming project in the Transmission sector to provide Project Management services to support the customer in an integrated team.

This Project involves greenfield and brownfield developments both in terminal stations and transmission and will involve works through the entire project lifecycle from civil through to commissioning.  


Job Summary
In this role, you will be managing contracts and monitoring operations as part of an Integrated Delivery Team. You will assist with the development of the Project Execution Plan and any project specific plans, procedures and tools. Your oversight will ensure project contracting is consistent, and that project and contract requirements have been implemented.

This position is designated as full-time office based. Part-time telework may be authorised in the future as per our global telework policy and would be subject to a minimum number of days assigned in the office and agreed in consultation with supervision and project leadership.
 

Major Responsibilities

  • Directs negotiations and prepares proposed negotiating plan in the commitment and resolution of commercial conditions of contracts when such action is agreed as necessary by the designated supervisor.
  • Works closely with the procurement team to achieve shared objectives.
  • Participates with the project team on a large project in defining and developing the scope of Contracts work, and in preparing and coordinating Contract plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Other responsibilities as designated.
  • Supervises contractors professionals to manage the projects end to end contract requirements.
  • Manages Contracts which includes contract administration, supports or leads progress and performance reviews, prepares formal correspondence, proactively supports achievement of milestones and deliverables.
  • Makes recommendations to the Package Manager or Project Leadership on the mitigation of risks and closely monitors and supports remedial actions and recommend appropriate trade-offs.
  • Undertakes Change Management, including reviewing change proposals, preparing recommendations and change orders/variations to contracts.
     

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering or other applicable field.
  • Minimum 13 years of experience

Required Knowledge And Skills

  • Recognised as advanced contributor with specialised skill set. 
  • Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Previous experience and ability to work as part of a client’s integrated team and provide leadership and direction in terms of Contract Management best practice. 
  • Leadership and teamwork capabilities. 
  • Extensive skill in working and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups, client and Stakeholders.
