Job Summary:

In this role, you will use statistics, computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing technologies, and other data science tools to assist senior data scientists and engineers in designing, developing, and programming processes and systems to consolidate and analyze “big data” sources. Your work will help create actionable insights and solutions that will solve business problems.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. #LI-MJ1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Participates on a team with other data scientists, data engineers, and business subject matter experts working to solve business problems using statistics, math, computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning and data mining methods.
  • Uses data science tools and frameworks and Big Data and cloud computing technologies to design, develop, and program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for functions and projects.
  • Interacts with functions and project teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.
  • Develops and codes software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
  • Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources that will significantly improve the planning, estimating, and delivery of engineering, procurement, and construction projects and lead to measurable improved outcomes.
  • Creates user-friendly reports using various databases, analyses, programs, and scripts.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong grasp of programming languages (Python, Scala, or equivalent) and a willingness to learn new ones.
  • Experience writing database-heavy services or APIs. 
  • Professional experience with data modeling in a RDBMS (PL/SQL, MSSQL). 
  • Professional experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools. 
  • Experience working with and supporting cross-functional teams.
