Project Overview:
Bechtel is on the Northrop Grumman Corp. team preparing to deliver the Sentinel U.S. Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) system of inter-continental ballistic missiles and launch infrastructure. Sentinel is a vital U.S. Air Force program designed to modernize the nation’s aging force of inter-continental ballistic missiles, which make up the ground element of the nuclear deterrent. As part of the Northrop Grumman GBSD nationwide team, Bechtel will provide launch system design, construction, and integration.
A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. We use our expertise to help our customers securely and effectively transform mission delivery.
Job Summary:
This position works independently to provide front desk support (greeting customers, new employees, visitors, issuing access badges, handling mail/parcel shipping and receiving) and miscellaneous facility and administrative support for the project that may be confidential in nature. Provides building support in a government secured building and ensures compliance with all security requirements. Duties require accuracy, judgment, a high degree of initiative, discretion, diplomacy, and knowledge of protocol while adhering to company, project and department policies and objectives. #LI-KL1
Work Schedule: Schedule A (9/80 Monday, 6:45am to 4:15pm, Tuesday – Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, every other Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Major Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Assists in the performance of office services functions such as office moves, facility operations, security and access control, food services management, reproduction, telecommunications, mail and shipping, messenger service, travel, office supplies, furniture and equipment, and miscellaneous services.
- Performs tasks such as delivering packages or picking up small purchases.
- Oversight and maintenance of vehicle(s) in safe, clean, and serviceable condition.
- Maintains facilities, files, drawings and plans.
- May act as focal point for outside subcontract services.
- May provide backup administrative support.
- Customer focused, courteous and helpful.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skill Level:
- Applies acquired job skills and company policies & procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Job Complexity:
- Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
Supervision:
- Moderate supervision with some latitude to use judgment.
- Receives assistance in the completion of more complex assignments.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires 1-2 years of related experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
- Must be able to demonstrate basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. A skills assessment may be administered to determine proficiency.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and proper use of syntax. A skills assessment may be administered to determine proficiency.
