Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to join our team as Project Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM) Manager. The Project OSM Manager will be responsible for managing large-scale offsite manufacturing or module fabrication and assembly work for a project. This role involves cross-functional integration and coordination with various departments including engineering, procurement, subcontracts, construction, and commissioning to ensure the successful execution of projects. The OSM Manager will also focus on supporting the project’s safety, quality, cost and schedule goals by overseeing all activities of the project regarding OSM, supporting the transfer of construction hours from the job site to off-site manufacturing facilities based on the project’s OSM plan, ensuring that OSM brings cost and schedule benefits to the project.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. #LI-SM2
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance to design engineers and construction personnel superintendents relating to multi-discipline engineering modularization, ensuring that modules can be constructed, shipped, and installed efficiently.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with project engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Set and meet project cost and schedule targets.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Experience in managing complexity at scale and de-risking project schedules.
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, project management, commissioning, or offsite manufacturing.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in the semiconductor, electric vehicle, or data center business lines.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in offsite manufacturing and modular construction.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or similar credentials, such as Six Sigma Black Belt.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing complex and large scale scopes and initiatives.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Experience in managing complexity at scale and de-risking project schedules.
- Knowledge of integrating commissioning activities into the OSM design.
- Knowledge of the use of subcontracts, and the contractor and subcontractor’s responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- An understanding of the application and requirements of Project Environmental, Safety & Health.
- Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
