Job Summary:

In this role, you will participate in the administration of the Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) program for Bechtel's nuclear power projects. Strictly following documented procedures, you will manage NQA-1 records, follow retention requirements based on software classification, and process requests for both software applications and incident/error reporting. This role will also provide backup support for our Computer Services Library and Application Portfolio management functions. #LI-TN1

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all NQA-1 records, including test plans and reports, are properly classified and retained.
  • Maintain a roster of administrators for all certified software, confirming that roster semi-annually.
  • Provide copies of software and documentation for installation purposes only.
  • Identify and require that personnel be appropriately trained based on the requirements identified in the NQA-1 procedures.
  • Support auditing tasks; coordinate and validate remediation activities for audit findings.
  • Identify policy and procedure gaps and support policy development.
  • Track incidents, lessons learned, and corrective actions.  
  • Organize and coordinate training and awareness events to ensure Bechtel employees know, understand, and follow our NQA-1 policies and requirements. 
  • Notifying project administrators and Product Owners of upcoming software changes or patches to ensure recertification efforts are approved and documented.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
  • US citizenship is required for this position.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient with the MS Office Suite.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization and efficiency.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with team members.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, typing proficiency, and demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate tasks between resources located in multiple locations.
  • Professionalism with a strong work ethic.
