Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and talented Business Systems Analyst / Power Platform Analyst to lead and coordinate delivery of technology initiatives supporting Bechtel Nuclear, Security, and Environmental’s global systems. This role combines business analysis, technical solutioning, and project management to ensure high-quality, timely, and sustainable outcomes.

You will collaborate closely with developers, administrators, architects, and business stakeholders to define requirements, oversee delivery, and guide solution design. While this is not a day-to-day development position, you should have hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) – enough to evaluate solutions, prototype concepts, and communicate effectively with technical and functional resources.

These systems support global programs that contribute to environmental cleanup, national and global security, sustainable energy, and space exploration.

Major Responsibilities:

Project Management

• Lead and manage technical project delivery from planning through deployment.
• Define and maintain project scope, milestones, schedules, and deliverables in coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and resource needs across concurrent initiatives.
• Communicate project status, priorities, and issues to stakeholders and leadership with clarity and consistency.
• Ensure adherence to Bechtel’s delivery and change management standards, documentation, and governance practices.
• Ensure Project reporting is up to date and communicated regularly at the appropriate level to team, stakeholders, management.
• Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the program and any related projects.

Power Platform & Business Analyst

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and technical specifications.
• Translate business needs into actionable solution designs and user stories.
• Partner with Power Platform team to shape, test, and validate solutions built in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Build or review prototypes, data models, and dashboards to verify design alignment and usability.
• Coordinate testing, user acceptance, and deployment activities with development and operations teams.
• Support post-deployment validation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Meet with developers on a regular basis to ensure scope, schedule, budget are on track

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience​.
• US citizenship is required.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of the Power Platform ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure integration points.
• Experience managing Agile or hybrid projects using tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar. 
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills; able to bridge business and technical perspectives. 
• Strong problem-solving ability with high attention to detail and delivery excellence. 
• Capable of producing clear documentation, visual models, and project artifacts. 
• Experience and knowledge of PM tools and PM methodologies.
• Experience leading and managing projects and/or operations.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, or supporting Power Platform and Power BI solutions.
