Project Overview:

Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the M&T global business unit also includes colleagues working in Arizona, Ohio, Texas, India, and additional project locations around the world.

Job Summary:

Has day-to-day oversight of the on-site medical vendor and staff in a non-clinical role. Implements and administers project medical services contracts and agreements in accordance with governmental, legal and professional laws and regulations. Works independently to plan, develop, monitor and evaluate the health, hygiene and medical services for the project and its operating facilities. Assists departments and contractors in health programs, monitoring health systems, collecting data, and implementing emergency medical response capabilities.    #LI-AM3

Major Responsibilities:

  • Overall, the role will support all medical facilities and contractors with regards to quality, compliance with Bechtel and AHJ standards and guidelines, case management, emergency medical response, inspections, and assessments. 
  • Supports the mobilization, execution, start-up, and turnover of site health services/facilities.
  • Review contractor risk assessments with regards to medical services.
  • Oversee and assist with the coordination of the medical emergency response in line with project requirements and minimum standards.
  • Oversee with the relevant contractors, the execution of medical services with regards to scope of work, quality assurance, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support case management of work-related injuries and illnesses with relevant stake holders.
  • Support incident investigations as required. Monitor quality of patient care rendered to all employees on the project.
  • Consult regularly with key client stakeholders to ensure needs and expectations are defined and delivered in accordance with contracted service levels.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of applicable medical emergency response procedures and processes to ensure emergency service requirements are met.
  • Provide reports to the ES&H manager as required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum RN or NP with a Nursing Science Degree or proven clinical background as a paramedic or medical doctor. Minimum 3 years’ experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Clinic management in an occupational health setting Supporting the establishment of site clinics in conjunction with the CMHMS and the sub-contractor.
  • Post-graduate qualification in Occupational health(Preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in sub-contracts management and oversite.
  • Knowledge of the workers compensation process.
  • Conducting clinical and quality assessments on health services Knowledge of Occupational Health Standards and Regulations.
  • Experience in supporting the implementation of mental health programs.
