Job Summary:

Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) is an exciting and growing business unit that serves customers in the semiconductor, electric vehicle, and datacenter markets. Major Responsibilities:

• On a large sized project, represents Bechtel as the supplier’s prime contact with respect to supplier quality and performs quality surveillance activities defined by the assignment scope to verify that supplier furnished equipment and material conforms to the technical and quality requirements of the procurement documents 
• Monitors supplier personnel activities including witnessing of operations, inspections, examinations, or tests to verify procurement document requirements have been met 
• Performs hands on inspections to verify by re-examination the efficacy of supplier inspection efforts and to provide assurance of the conformance of equipment or materials to procurement document requirements 
• Reviews supplier generated quality verification documentation to verify conformance to procurement document requirements 
• Rejects material found nonconforming and collaborates with the supplier and project supplier quality personnel to obtain a course of supplier action which facilitates satisfactory disposition of disclosed non-conformances 
• Releases conforming material for shipment and notifies other Bechtel functional organizations to assist in coordination of their activities 
• Conducts surveys or audits or surveys of suppliers, when assigned 
• Reviews supplier generated documentation applicable to materials, tests, components, quality-related activities and the qualification or certification of personnel to verify compliance to specified quality criteria 

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience with leading a diverse team
• Experience with major commodities, recognized codes and standards, manufacturing methods
• Experience with preparation of detailed inspection plans for use on complete or uniquely designed systems; preparation of full scope man-hour and budget estimates for proposed mega projects;
• Experience in reviewing complex technical specifications; or the establishment of project corrective action(s) to resolve nonconformances that have a significant impact on project cost/schedule
• Provides guidance to other Area Supplier Quality Specialists and non-technical support staff as assigned
• Assists and/or monitors activities of assigned Area Supplier Quality Specialists
• Must be willing to relocate within North America
