Senior Project Controls Planner Scheduler

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports project and proposal schedule development and maintenance.
  • Obtains required planning and scheduling information from all disciplines and functions.
  • Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of schedule needs.
  • Responsible for integration of project schedule activities.
  • Identifies restraints and their effect on the project schedule.
  • Identifies schedule considerations and challenges resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces.
  • Monitors and reports critical path and schedule performance.
  • Conducts scheduled analysis and studies of problem areas to determine the criticality of scheduled activities.
  • Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to the project team for discussion and/or decision.
  • Responsible for leading, when requested, the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including the evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Grade 25 - Bachelor’s (BS/BA) Degree from an accredited university and at least six (6) years of professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, high school diploma or equivalent and at least twelve (12) years of professional experience. 
  • Grade 26 - Bachelor’s (BS/BA) Degree from an accredited university and at least nine (9) years of professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, high school diploma or equivalent and at least fifteen (15) years of professional experience. 
  • Must be a US Citizen per project contract requirements.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education. 
  • All employees are subject and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment and successfully go through a government screening process. Unescorted access approval is required. 
  • Candidate must successfully clear government background check.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing scheduling functions which include planning, critical path analysis, and schedule performance measurement.
  • Must demonstrate good interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
  • Advanced level of proficiency in using Project Controls software applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives.

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Construction experience on large, complex Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) jobs.
  • Previous U.S. Government-certified Earned Value Management System experience on complex Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) jobs.
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying and analyzing issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent proposal and project requests and changing priorities.
