Job Summary:
The Quality Control Interface Specialist is responsible for providing support on a project for interfacing Supplier Quality activities and various disciplines of engineering. This role involves coordinating between various teams, ensuring compliance with internal and external quality standards, and resolving any issues related to product or service quality. The specialist will also work closely with Project Supplier Quality and other stakeholders to ensure that quality control activities align with project goals and industry standards.
Major Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Supplier Quality and various internal departments, external suppliers.
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards and procedures across all project phases, from design to delivery.
- Conduct regular internal quality audits and assessments to ensure compliance with supplier quality standards.
- Coordinate the interface between different teams (Core engineering, MET, SME and ensure that quality issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure quality-related requirements are understood and incorporated into project plans.
- Review and monitor quality documentation, including SQ reports, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues efficiently and effectively.
- Train and mentor staff and contractors on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Track Supplier quality metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
- Provide support in the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Min. 7 - 10 years of experience in quality control or Inspection and Testing, particularly in [industry-specific, e.g., construction, manufacturing, oil and gas.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interface and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in quality control tools and software (e.g., MS Office, SAP, or industry-specific software).
Work Environment:
- This position may require travel to project sites for surveillance and audits.
- Flexible working hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
