Position Responsibilities

  • This position reports to the Project Engineering Manager and/or the Chief Engineering for Process and Systems Engineering or their designee
  • Development of documentation to support requirement definition, traceability, allocation, configuration management and validation
  • Development of process models, including discrete event simulation, to determine overall system / facility throughput capabilities, capacity planning, and optimal plant layout.
  • Evaluation and oversight for integration of Human Factors requirements
  • Conduct of value engineering studies and trade studies
  • Review and coordination of Engineering risks
  • Ensures cross discipline coordination for system level requirements and interfaces
  • Performs impact analyses for proposed requirement changes.
  • Coordinates and facilitates technical discussions to resolve industrial / systems engineering issues.
  • Travel as required to support projects at other locations.



Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Systems Engineering from an accredited university or college with at least 6 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Candidates must possess the right to work and remain in the US without sponsorship


Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess a detailed understanding of Industrial Engineering principles and methods
  • Possess an awareness of environmental and nuclear regulations and their influence on design.
  • Experience facilitating multi-discipline meetings to resolve technical and related requirements compliance issues.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy, Department of Defense or NASA badge for access to potential work sites.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Registration in Industrial Engineering
  • Systems Engineering Certificate or International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certification
  • Value Engineering Certification
  • Experience with industrial / systems engineering on DOE, DOD, NASA or aerospace projects.
  • Experience working on an EPC contract.
  • Experience working with requirements management databases.
  • Experience in application of configuration management tools.
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Experience with OSHA regulations
  • Experience with Human Factors Engineering
  • Experience with Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Inspectability analyses
  • Experience with Process Hazard Analysis / Process Safety Management
