May start with Reston, VA for 3-4 weeks for training. This position can be based out in any of these locations: Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Columbus, OG; Knoxville, TN; Detroit, MI.


Implements operate and assists global business unit office and project users in running the Digital Supply Chain Systems application suite and associated systems.  Analyzes and resolves operational problems, taking corrective action as necessary.  Provides advice to users on correct software usage and conducts training classes as requested.  Performs administrative duties of moderate complexity, which entail knowledge of, and adherence to, established procedures.



  • Provides ongoing technical support of the Digital Supply Chain System.
  • Initiates requests for resolution of software problems encountered during implementation and operations of DSCS applications.
  • Supports global business unit and project personnel in the use of DSCS applications, including any requirements involving set up and training.



  • Must have a Bachelors degree OR in lieu of a degree 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based, networked, computing environments.
  • Knowledge of standard office productivity tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
  • Knowledge of other standard applications used by Engineering, Procurement and Construction.
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts, including logical sorting and selection criteria specification.
  • Experience and knowledge of data processing operations.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Plans and conducts training classes or provides user desk side training.
  • Develops proposals for the installation of standard applications including cost estimates and schedules.  Presents the proposal if required and performs demonstrations of the software to augment the proposal.
  • Supports specialized global business unit and project reporting requirements.
  • Experience in web-based computing environments.
  • Experience in developing and presenting cost estimates and proposals for the support of Procurement Systems software and hardware, including software demonstrations.
  • Advanced knowledge of other standard applications used by Engineering, Procurement and Construction.
  • Experience in designing relational databases.
  • Experience with typical troubleshooting methods.
  • Skilled in oral communication and experienced in giving practical and technical presentations.
  • Conducts training classes when requested.
  • Maintains contact with non-Bechtel 3rd party software / application vendors or sponsors as dictated by project requirements.  Coordinates usage of said applications where interfacing with Digital Supply Chain Systems applications.
  • Advises global business unit and project personnel in the use and implementation of Digital Supply Chain Systems applications by performing fit-for-purpose analysis based on requirements information and discussions.  Suggests appropriate software programs and configurations.
  • Maintains and distributes user training materials and documentation related to Digital Supply Chain Systems applications.
