Project Overview:
The Corporate Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for developing, leading and driving continuous improvement initiatives and programs across the enterprise. The manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze and identify areas of improvement, develop strategies, and implement changes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality. They will promote building a strong customer focus on projects, empower and assist teams to solve problems and make fact-based decisions to deliver right the first time. This role will require facilitated resolution of issues, improvements and opportunities across all functions and integrated project teams. The successful candidate will be the enterprise ‘catalyst for change’ and a key technical resource partnering with the EPC Functions and GBU management teams to deliver a highly customized continuous improvement programs, training and mentoring.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for leading multi-discipline continuous improvement efforts and leveraging opportunities to resolve gaps and process problems that lead to declining performance or a significant impact on business/customer needs. You will lead teams, facilitate collaboration, and use technical tools to monitor, analyze, and evaluate solutions that resolve issues and mitigate risk.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership
Major Responsibilities:
- Key member of the Corporate Quality and Continuous Improvement Leadership Team
- Develop and implement a continuous improvement framework and strategy to drive operational excellence.
- Lead cross-functional teams in identifying and analyzing areas for improvement and develop action plans to address them.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate employees on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
- Conduct data analysis and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and identify areas for further improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of improvement initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams in implementing process improvements and ensure sustainability of changes.
- Monitor and report on the progress of continuous improvement projects to senior management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in continuous improvement methodologies.
- Participates and leads quality self-assessments as requested.
- Will travel to various project and office locations as needed to facilitate workshops, provide training and lead improvement initiatives.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and of relevant significant experience.
- Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt
- Certified Causal Analysis Lead- recognized expert in field
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Progressively responsible leadership experience.
- Proven experience in leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Ability to influence and inspire change at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in using data analysis tools and software.
