Job Summary:
In this role, you will prepare monthly invoice packages based on multi-currency and complex contractual language. You will collaborate with the Project Team to analyze contractual terms and accounting cost flows and assist in the review and approval of accounting entries, invoice packages, and account reconciliations. You will add value by ensuring accurate invoicing and contributing to client satisfaction.
- Reporting to the Project Accountant the Billing Specialist will perform contractual invoicing for the project.
- Maintain a complete and thorough understanding of the financial requirements of the prime contract
- Ongoing review of unbilled cost transactions, unit rate transactions and account reconciliations to ensure that all costs are billed timely, that any held items are addressed promptly, and that all transactions are properly categorized per the contract billing terms
- Coordination with the Service Center Billing Organization to ensure quality and timely client billing delivery
- Coordination with Project Management, Project Controls and other project organizations impacting the Billing process
- Coordination with other Project Finance Team members, especially related to billing of Supplier and Subcontract invoices to the client
- Implementation and ongoing improvement of billing controls and processes, ensuring compliance and meeting deadlines
- Additional duties may be assigned on an as required basis
- Accounts Payable coordination/support, including review, approval routing, processing and payment of Supplier and Subcontract invoices
- The position requires the ability to maintain confidentiality with a strong ethical behavior in workplace practices, a customer-service orientation with a demonstrated professional demeanor and communication style, flexibility, and commitment to meeting deadlines.

Major Responsibilities:
Client Billing Lead
- Assists in the review and approval of accounting entries, client invoice packages, and account reconciliations prepared by the Billing Team
- Performs complex and/ or ad hoc tasks which may require decision-making.
- Provides guidance and assists the team in addressing and resolving day-to-day operational issues.
- Research, analyzes, and resolves issues with client invoicing and/or revenue collaboratively with Project Team
- Provides support to the Billing Supervisor in managing the workload
Business Analyst
- Subject matter expert constantly identifying the process improvement opportunities, support in developing new solutions and process documentation.
- Work on complex work efforts touching all verticals and managing significant process and applications improvement efforts.
- Work collaboratively with technical teams on development, testing and implementation on the solution.
- Assists the team in addressing and resolving technical issues.
- Provides direction, support, and assistance to Junior Analysts
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience with Oracle Financials
- Above average communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Good initiative and ability to work independently while functioning effectively with a team environment
- Good business judgment in execution of assigned work and in understanding when issues need to be escalated for resolution
- Understanding of accounting principles, concepts, and terminology
- Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office suite especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
