  • Salary Range: $68,424 - $82,116 annually (Determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant. A 15% salary uplift is provided on top of base salary for positions that are worked in New York City or San Francisco, which is subject to change depending on market conditions.).

Overview:

At Bechtel, the variety of architectural work from project to project offers exciting challenges.  Working in an exciting multi-disciplinary design-build team environment, you can expand your skill set quickly in all areas of architecture and green building.

 

Architects at Bechtel work on projects from airports, light rail stations, ports, and laboratories to design of control buildings, warehouses, and high tech heavy industrial complexes.  In addition to enhancing your skills in architecture, you will gain experience in presentations, written and oral communications, Six Sigma, sustainable design, teamwork, and other areas.  Of course, working with licensed architects and industry leaders in sustainable design will also start you on the path to becoming a licensed professional architect.

Major Responsibilities:

Typical Activities

  • Design and specification of architectural building systems
  • Create scope-of-services documents for prefabricated buildings
  • Code analysis
  • LEED certification and green building
  • Interaction with contractors and suppliers
  • Interaction with outside AE forms
  • 3D CAD, BIM, visualization, and customer presentations
  • Interdisciplinary coordination

Education and Experience Requirements:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Architecture program at an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months or upcoming twelve (12) months
  • Display strong communication skills, comfortable working both independently and in a team environment on a variety of tasks.
  • Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, ow or in the future.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Portfolio demonstrating a strong body of work.
  • Previous co-op or internship experience.
  • Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
