Project Overview:

Bechtel is working with a major Indian corporation to provide Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi-billion-dollar upgrade / expansion of their existing petrochemical facilities in India. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel’s India offices.

You will bring your experience and expertise to the PMC role while working within the customer’s organization as part of an integrated team. Job Summary:

In this role, you will supervise a team of Control Systems personnel, estimate project staffing needs, and schedule and assign work. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans and review and approve control systems investigations and studies. Your leadership will drive high quality work plans, successful implementation of control system components, team support and training, and project performance. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Wide exposure in the Analyzer Systems by the preparation of Specifications, Data sheets, SOW/Material requisitions, and Supplier documents review
  • Hands-on experience in the design of Process Analyzers and Analyzer Shelters
  • Complete awareness on the Local codes and standards pertaining to the Analyzers’ design
  • Knowledge on the design of Analyzer Shelters including analyzers, sample conditioning systems, sample tubing, FAT and SAT
  • Review of Specifications, MR, datasheets, Technical Bid and Vendor Prints for Analyzer System.
  • Knowledge on the design of AMADAS including system architecture, Communication interface and alarm management
  • Review of Instrumentation Specification for Mechanical Packages and vendor print review
  • Assists in reviewing discipline material quantities.
  • Knowledge of Fire and Gas systems for buildings and shelters
  • Working knowledge of Smart Plant Instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of Instrument Installation Details
  • Participation in 3D Model Review Sessions, HAZOP and SIL/LOPA Reviews.
  • Coordinates assigned work with other technical personnel as directed.
  • Knowledge on third party communications to the ICSS

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and considerable SME relevant experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Subject matter expertise of Analyzer Systems
  • Technical knowledge of ICSS
  • Technical knowledge of Control System engineering in Oil, Gas and/or Chemical industries.
  • Thorough knowledge of discipline engineering techniques, the design of engineered systems, and engineering and design calculations.
  • Understanding of international and Indian industry regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to the particular engineering discipline.
  • Broad knowledge of the application of engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials.
  • Understands the standard engineering work planning, scheduling and cost estimating.
  • Job knowledge of various types of field Instrumentation, DCS, PLC, Hazardous areas is essential.
  • Design experience and knowledge of DCS / PLC and SCADA Networks, Fiber optic and Ethernet communication.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
