Project Overview:

Bechtel is seeking to work with a major Indian corporation to provide Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi-billion-dollar upgrade / expansion of their existing petrochemical facilities in India. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel’s India offices.

 

Position Overview:

Provides consultation and advice, participates in planning, developing and implementing solutions to meet Global Business Unit or Project Procurement Systems automation requirements. Provides technical and administrative support, as well as implements, operates and assists Global Business Unit office and project users in running the Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS) application suite and associated systems. Proactively monitors the operation of computer hardware and software. Analyzes and resolves operational problems, taking corrective action as necessary. Provides advice to users on correct software usage and conducts training classes as requested.   

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participates with designated project implementation teams and personnel to determine and develop project automation requirements and objectives. This includes providing advice, guidance and recommendations. 
  • Completion of Digital Supply Chain System Project Setup (Project Initiatives, Approvals workflows, Shipping and Inventory Destinations etc.). 
  • Create project members Digital Supply Chain System access. 
  • Organizes and performs classroom training as well as user desk instruction, including the maintenance and distribution of user training materials and documentation related to the Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS) application suite and associated systems. 
  • Participates in software demonstrations and presentations as required by the Global Business Unit or Project. 
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves problems relating to hardware, software or network related error.
  • Perform data quality checks and import as directed by Project.
  • Initiates requests for resolution of both hardware and software problems encountered during implementation and operations of the Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS) application suite and associated systems.
  • Communicates technical and detailed support requests to the Corporate Digital Supply Chain group including analysis of process steps taken.
  • Generates and maintains Project Procurement Metrics and Performance data.     

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university  Required – 2+ years of experience working as a systems specialist (Implementation, Support, Training and maintenance).
    • Knowledge of and experience in a different procurement discipline (Supplier Management, Purchasing, Expediting, Logistics, Materials Management and Field Procurement).
    • Advanced knowledge of standard office productivity tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, and including simple table, query, report and macro design.
    • Knowledge of and experience with Oracle E-Business Suite of software’s is preferred.
    • Knowledge of and experience with other standard applications used by Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, Construction and Finance.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Knowledge of and experience with Intelliwave Inventory Management System.
    • Experience with and knowledge of data processing operations.
    • Experience with typical and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
    • Skilled in oral communication and experience in giving practical and technical presentations to medium and large audiences
    • Experience and knowledge of data processing operations
    • Good Analytical skills and learning attitude
    • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills.
