Project Description


Pennsylvania Chemicals is a world-scale facility that will use ethane to produce 1.6 million tonnes of polyethylene per year.  The project will involve up to 6,000 workers during its construction and is expected to employ 600 permanent employees when completed. The ethylene / polyethylene complex will be located in the Ohio River Valley north of Pittsburgh.  It comprises an ethane cracker and three polyethylene units, plus OSBL including a gas-fired combined cycle cogeneration unit and a large storage-in-transit rail yard.


Role Overview


Takes direction from Document Management Supervisor and help with implementation and maintenance of the project document management system and procedures. Help with planning and carrying out document management duties. Communicates work processes in a training environment.


Utilizes the standard Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), to register, control, distribute, transmit, file and archive project records.  Ensures project schedules are met with regards to processing documents.  Generates and provides status reports, tracking logs and performance metrics for the project. 


Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess Intermediate to Advanced knowledge and experience in:


  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and to accuracy.
  • Planning scope of work, establishes priorities in assigned areas of responsibility
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills - there will be a need to keep regular contact with project personnel
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high energy, team environment.
  • Uploading and downloading documents from a file transfer medium.
  • Entering documents into an EDMS systems to include full version control and population of metadata.
  • Use of the EDMS query system to support Client / project users in the use of the EDMS.
  • Operating scanners with sufficient understanding such that a quality scan is obtained while minimizing file size.
  • Redline markup processes.
  • Working to deadlines and managing time and workload.  We anticipate the flow of documents to fluctuate, therefore, ability to manage workload.
  • Support and perform audits for quality assurance, internal technical reviews, client reviews, and ISO 9001 audits
  • Development and implementation of the records retention and turnover plans
  • Ability to work overtime when required. 
  • Willingness to get involved with overall project document management activities where required. Able to handle multiple tasks.
