Project Overview:
Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long-lasting energy future for generations to come. This position is subject to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regulations at 10 CFR Part 810 (Part 810), which govern the transfer of hardware, materials, and technology to support the construction and operation of commercial nuclear power plants overseas.
Job Summary:
The Accommodation Facilities (Camp) Manager reporting to the Workforce Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations and performance of the Accommodation Facility (Camp) through effective management of the contracted accommodation services provider. The role also leads to the development and definition of the overall Project Accommodation Strategy, ensuring accommodation solutions aligned with workforce forecasts, mobilization requirements, and project delivery needs.
Major Responsibilities:
- Manage the Accommodation Services Contract, ensuring compliance with scope, KPIs, service levels, and contractual requirements.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operation of accommodation facilities, including accommodation, catering, cleaning, maintenance, and recreational services are delivered to the required quality, hygiene, safety and service standards.
- Act as the project representative within the accommodation facility, conducting inspections and monitoring contractor performance.
- Ensure facilities are maintained to required quality, hygiene, safety, and presentation standards in accordance with Project requirements and Polish and EU regulations.
- Monitor resident feedback and complaints, driving timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Oversee maintenance and preventive maintenance programs, including defect rectification and warranty management.
- Ensure compliance with project EHS requirements and participate in inspections, audits, and safety activities.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Security, Logistics, EHS, Workforce Services) to support accommodation operations and workforce wellbeing.
- Support emergency preparedness, contingency planning, and reporting related to accommodation services.
- Support overflow, temporary, or external accommodation arrangements when workforce demand exceeds on‑site capacity.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering facility condition, contractor performance, risks, issues, and improvement actions.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years' experience managing accommodation, hospitality, hotel, camp, or village operations, ideally in large-scale or remote project environments
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience conducting inspections, managing service standards, and resolving operational issues.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing outsourced accommodation or facility services contractors.
- Strong understanding of catering, housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, maintenance, and essential services operations.
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP or national equivalent).
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven organizational capability with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities.
- Experience preparing reports, reviewing contractor KPIs, and validating operational data.
